A big thank you to Pop O’ Hara Cork Water Safety and Caroline Casey Cork County Council Roads & Water Safety Devolvement officer, as well as the Lord Mayor of Cork for giving such a valuable talk and support.
Also a big thank you to Julia & Paul of Tir Na Sli who allow us the use of their farm it for these talks through out the year.
The talks incl RSA,An Garda,Irish Water Safety,with Guest Speaker Padraigh Higgins whose son had drowned on their Farm.The talks are given to schools from all over Cork.The schools in the photos are St Joesphs Primary School Fermoy, Milford Primary School & Curraghglass Primary School total children attended was 140.All schools then did a tour of the Farm after their talks have finished.

The Summer is nearly over and the beach lifeguards have had a busy time. But last Monday evening Aug. 21st an Awards Ceremony took place at the Crosshaven RNLI Station in Co. Cork.

Cork Water Safety and Cork Surf Life Saving would like to welcome Clare and Waterford Life Saving Clubs to Claycastle Beach in Youghal for the Munster Nipper and Junior Championships which will take place this Saturday August 12th and Sunday August 13th. Life Savers from as young as 7 will compete for places in the All Ireland Final which will take place in Curracloe, Co. Wexford later in the month. With nearly 550 Nippers and Juniors registered to compete, the Munster Final is the biggest competition on the Irish Surf Life Saving event calendar and well worth a visit if you are in the area! Good Luck to all and Stay Safe! #CorkWaterSafety
