Water Safety Ireland - Cork is the Cork branch of Water Safety Ireland (WSI), which is the statutory body established to promote water safety in Ireland.
Water Safety Ireland - Cork (Or Cork Water Safety) organises water safety courses in numerous locations throughout the city and county, teaching swimming, lifesaving, water confidence, safety, survival, rescue skills and Basic Life Support.
Our Pool and Beach Lifeguards Awards are internationally recognized by the International Life Saving Federation (ILSF) to which IWS is a member.

Group courses and classes can resume and take place in Level 1 and Level 2 only. In advance of any resumption and in line with current public health advice, there a number of new Covid-19 procedures which need to be completed by members, volunteers and participants. There are also a number of new procedures specifically related to Water Safety Area Committees. Please familiarise yourself with the information that applies to you.
